Between Time Zones

This apartment in Lisbon was designed as a primary residence for a life lived across continents. Between Time Zones explores the balance between work and rest within a refined urban interior, created for a young Brazilian couple dividing their time between Lisbon and São Paulo. Natural oak defines the architectural language, running through bespoke joinery and subtle detailing that establish continuity across the space. Full-height curtains and layered textiles soften the interior, while lighting is treated as an atmospheric layer. Brushed gold accents introduce precision, while Brazilian emerald quartzite adds depth and a subtle connection to the clients’ origins. The project settles into a calm and adaptable living environment, shaped by rhythm, material consistency and the experience of moving between places.
