More Than It Seems

This compact apartment in Porto is conceived as an exercise in spatial expansion. More Than It Seems explores how interior design can extend space beyond its physical limits. Mirrors and carefully positioned openings reflect surrounding greenery, amplifying natural light and establishing a continuous relationship with the exterior. The layout is reconfigured to maximise function, with storage integrated into the kitchen island, a walk-in closet adapted into a workspace, and concealed elements such as a retractable bar. Each intervention is precise and purposeful, allowing the apartment to remain clear while accommodating multiple uses. The result is a flexible and efficient living space shaped through reflection and transformation.
